How Licensing Works in BTR Script: Key or Domain Lock?

Every product in the BTR Script catalog is offered under one of three license models at checkout. Knowing which one fits your project avoids surprises after installation.

Three Licensing Models

• Domain-Locked License — The script is locked to the single domain you specify at purchase. Need to move it? You can open a domain-change request from your account panel.
• Key-Protected License — Activated with a unique key generated for your install; the key periodically checks in with our server for verification.
• Unlicensed / Free Use — No restrictions, use it on as many domains as you like.

Licenses Are Generated Automatically

When licensing is enabled in the admin panel, every product in a paid, approved order automatically gets a domain-locked, perpetual license key — no per-product configuration needed, every product follows the same logic.

Try Before You Buy

Some products let you request a time-limited trial license before committing to a purchase. Once the trial expires, the script locks itself automatically; if you like it, upgrading to a full license lets you continue right where you left off.

Need to Change Domains?

If you need to move a domain-locked script to a different domain, you can open a domain-change request from your account. If this feature is left open by the admin, your request is approved automatically; otherwise our team reviews it manually.

How Verification Works

Your purchased script checks in with our server at the configured interval (24 hours by default) through the /license/verify endpoint, which is rate-limited per key — keeping your script running reliably while protecting the system from abuse.

The "My Licenses" page in your account shows every active license, which domain it is bound to, and any trial licenses you may have — all in one place.
